ES Play - Fractured!
On November 14 and 15 our Grade 5 students presented Fractured!, five one-act plays featuring performances by our Grade 4 music ensembles. Fractured! puts a funny spin on five classic fairy tales and nursery rhymes.
Each ensemble was tasked with directing their own show. At each rehearsal, our young actors learned about the various elements of stagecraft and technique, and they worked on applying them to their own storytelling. The crew also joined in the theater to choreograph getting sets and props on stage. The students worked to navigate learning lines, collaborating with their ensemble, problem solving through frustrations, and taking risks with their voices and movements. This is an outstanding group who came together to tell these silly stories.
