Grade 2 Service Learning Success!

Our Grade 2 students raised €1676.65 selling bracelets for Mukwashi Trust School.

Our Grade 2 Service Learning Project was to make bracelets to raise funds to support building an irrigation system in the vegetable garden area at Mukwashi Trust School in Zambia. Grade 2 students felt this endeavor went along with their Health unit promoting healthy eating and our Grade 2 UN Sustainable Goal service learning project for the 2022-2023 school year.

Our young learners were so pleased with how much money they raised and the overall experience. They worked hard in their free time and during a few Social Studies blocks making the bracelets and learned so many important, real-world life skills. Most importantly, they learned that they can make a difference by supporting others in need.
