Grade 2 Visits the University of Vienna Chemistry Lab

Last Friday, February 28, our Grade 2 students went on a field trip to the University of Vienna Chemistry Lab. There, the students were able to think, observe, question, and experiment like actual scientists. They enjoyed learning about chromatography (separation of dyes through a filter), drag reduction (viscosity), making batteries using fruit,  making slime using various materials, measuring density, and making paper out of recycled materials.

Many thanks to our AIS Vienna parents for making this visit possible.

This is just one of the many ways the city of Vienna makes up our extended campus, with its many cultural offerings.
