Helping Hands Club Volunteers at the UN Women’s Charity Bazaar

Last Saturday, December 9, the Helping Hands Club helped at the UN Women's Charity Bazaar. It was a lovely experience for everyone who participated and our Helping Hands Cub members were able to volunteer for the whole city-wide community.

The Helping Hands Club is a student-led initiative in our High School that works with many different causes around the world. Since the beginning of the school year in August, they have raised funds for the flood and earthquake relief in Libya, Morocco, and Greece. We are currently engaged with two partnership programs globally. The group raises funds and awareness, along with the rest of AIS Vienna, to support the Mukwashi Trust School in Zambia and promote access to education in the area. In addition, the club partners with the Purbachal Ananda Foundation in India, a shelter for underprivileged children, where they can seek the support and care that they need. The most recent fundraisers have resulted in employing two new teachers at this facility. The club also has partnerships with various charities working with refugees in Vienna. As part of this, the student members will provide help during a fundraising holiday concert to support SOS Kinderdorf while spreading the holiday spirit and joy.
