HS Robotics Excels in Budapest
Congratulations to our AISV Robotics Team for participating in the 2025 CEESA High School Robotics Tournament in Budapest, Hungary on February 7 and 8. The event had 24 robots from eight schools.
Three teams of students - AISV “White,” “Black,” and “Green” - each brought their own robot, which they had been building since September. This VEX V5 Robotics season’s competition theme was “High Stakes.” Watch this video for details on the various tasks for which robots can score points.
Team Black played in the quarter-finals, and Team White went even further to the final round in what would end up being the second place alliance with one of the teams from the American International School of Bucharest.
Team Black picked up this year’s Design Award; notably for the excellent documentation of their building process in an engineering notebook that incorporated detail of applied mechanical concepts.
The AISV Robotics Team will cap its season at the end of February with a special invitation to the Robomesse, another VEX Robotics tournament in Basel, Switzerland.
