Inspiring Future Leaders

Last Friday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 16), our Grade 2 students imagined themselves as future leaders. Inspired by Dr. King, our young learners wrote letters to their parents and friends sharing their ideas on how to make the world a better place.

Here are just a few of the things they said:

“One thing you can do to make the world a better place is you can speak up and share your ideas with other people.”

“We can make the world a better place by speaking up when something is not right.”

“Kindness is the most important thing in the world.”

“I can learn and read more about history to learn about when people were treated unfairly and help to make the world a better place. I learned about Martin Luther King and how he helped the world become a better place. And I know in my heart that I can do that too.”

During the week of January 16, students across AIS Vienna learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and his contributions to our world.

This is one of the many ways we empower each student with the skills and character strengths necessary to be positively impactful global citizens and our students learn to embody our core values – respect, aspire, and achieve.
