Knights of Service: Earth Day in the Vienna Woods

Yesterday, a group of our Grade 6 students went up into the Vienna Woods with one of our Kindergarten classes to help build our community. In honor of Earth Day, students celebrated together by having a scavenger hunt. The students looked for natural items to build creative creatures in the woods. Our unique campus location, adjacent to the local Wienerwald biosphere, allows us to connect learning to the natural world around us.

At AIS Vienna, Service Learning empowers students to become compassionate leaders through meaningful community engagement. The Knights of Service initiative lets our youngest middle schoolers mentor younger peers, promoting civic responsibility, teamwork, and problem-solving. This exciting program will continue through May.
