Krakow Trip
On March 20, 40 Grade 10 students and five HS teachers headed northeast to Krakow, Poland with the purpose of learning more about the horrific events of the Holocaust during World War II. During the trip, the group visited Auschwitz I, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Kraków’s Jewish Ghetto, Oskar Schindler’s Factory and Krakow Museum, and Eagle Pharmacy which all provided unique educational experiences and moments of reflection. In addition, the group had the opportunity to explore the Wieliczka Salt Mine at 135 meters below the surface! The group is very grateful to AISV for this special trip.
This is one of the many ways in which Europe makes up our extended campus, with its many historical and cultural offerings.
