MS Fall Retreats

Our Middle School students had a great time on their retreats last week, September 4 to 6, while engaging in team building activities, deepening social connections, and enjoying some fun outside of Vienna! Students were able to bond with their classmates, explore Austria, and push themselves to try new things.

Grade 6 traveled to the Salzkammergut region of Hallstatt, Obertraun and Bad Ischl, where they explored the famous salt mine and ice cave, along with the Kaiservilla in Bad Ischl.

Grade 7 went on an adventurous tour of the Ötschgraben, where they bonded over raft building and a high ropes course. They also explored the historic center of Mariazell.

Grade 8 traveled to Rust and Illmitz at the Neusiedlersee, where they went cycling, hiking, sailing, paddle boarding, and kite surfing. They also enjoyed a nature safari in Illmitz.

These retreats offer great opportunities to build new relationships and strengthen those that already exist. We thank our faculty and staff for their work and commitment to making these experiences memorable and meaningful, and for taking such good care of our MS students over these three-day trips.

This is just one of the many ways that our surrounding areas make up our extended campus.
