MS Students Embark on Geocaching Field Trip

On Friday, March 28 a group of MS students organized the first Future Forward Field Trip!

A Chilly Breeze: Geocaching, was ideated by three of our Grade 7 students. The idea came about connecting learning, being outdoors, and enjoying a field trip. Fifteen students joined the club and participated in geocaching around AISV during the first sessions.

For the last session, an afternoon at and near Vienna's Technical Museum was organized. Three teams went on a scavenger hunt at the museum then walked around the 14th and 15th districts searching for caches in nearby parks. The students got to be outdoors and returned to the museum for a final walk around together through their most interactive exhibits. The group also made their own official cache to leave for others to find somewhere in Vienna.

This is one of many ways the city of Vienna makes up our extended campus, with its many educational and cultural offerings.
