MS Students Explore Diplomacy in Bucharest

Fourteen Grade 7 and Grade 8 students traveled to Bucharest, Romania this past weekend to participate in an international Model United Nations conference. The conference theme, Balancing the Pendulum of Extremism, led to spirited debates, alliance-building, and plenty of leadership moments.

Over several days, students debated global issues, wrote and passed resolutions, and delivered impressive opening speeches. Our students represented our school with outstanding professionalism, diplomacy, and enthusiasm. Every delegate showed real growth over the course of the weekend, stepping up to engage with peers from around the world and participating actively in committee discussions. The students also explored the historic city and enjoyed traditional Romanian cuisine.

Experiences like this one help our students see the world, and the importance of diplomacy, from a broader and richer perspective. We are proud of how professionally and enthusiastically they represented AIS Vienna on a global stage!
