UN Assembly 2024

We held a wonderful Elementary School United Nations Assembly on Friday, March 15. Our UN and Sustainable Development Goal learning has taken place throughout the school year, with various activities and projects, and at the assembly, Mr. Martin Nesirky of the UN Information Service gave an inspirational speech to our students. Thank you, Mr. Nesirky and UNIS!

The assembly began with a parade of 60 flags from the countries represented in our Elementary School and included amazing student musical performances, as well as a traditional Chinese dance presented by our AISV community. In addition, our UN Rights of the Child video including 18 of our Elementary School students (1 student from each of our ES classes) was shown. You can still catch the Rights of the Child video here.

Thank you to our many teacher and parent volunteers who made the learning come alive for students. This UN learning ties directly to our mission, to empower each student with the skills and character strengths necessary to be positively impactful global citizens who strive for personal growth and excellence in an ever-changing world.
