Campus Visit from National Geographic Explorer

We were thrilled to welcome National Geographic Explorer, Rosanna Mangione, to campus three times thanks to support from the Annual Fund. Ms. Mangione and her colleagues from the Natural History Museum visited the HS Environmental Science classes as part of the ongoing Sparkling Science: Wildlife Crime program. Each class listened to a presentation from Ms. Mangione about crocodile conservation and protection, highlighted with lessons she's learned as a traveling ecologist, biologist and researcher, followed by an interactive workshop in which students acted as crocodile researchers themselves. Even some of our younger learners were able to stop in and participate in some of the research.

Previous activities with the Sparkling Science program include a kickoff meeting at the Natural History Museum and a workshop at the United Nations.
