HS Speech, Debate & Acting Team Shines in Berlin

Congratulations to our young Speech, Debate & Acting (SDA) Team in training that travelled to Berlin for their NESDA tournament April 4-6. Three veteran SDA team members and graduating seniors sent their team members off with some last bits of advice and encouragement, demonstrating that being part of this team is about more than attending tournaments - it is a community.

Along with two faculty coaches, our team included six tournament veterans as well as four tournament newcomers. Many of our students used this tournament as an opportunity for growth by taking on new events. Despite having less experience, our young team managed to have multiple members advance to higher rounds in at least one of all six events and went on to the finals in three events.

This was a unified team that supported one another throughout the experience, and their success reflects that spirit. Congratulations to all our students on their impressive achievements!
