MS Field Trip Day - February 14

On February 14, our Middle School Students went on various field trips with their grade levels. Students had a fantastic time learning beyond the classroom and campus walls.

Grade 6 students had a fantastic day on their field trip to Vienna’s Natural History Museum as well as enjoying some ice skating in the beautiful sunshine.

Some of the Grade 7 students enjoyed a guided tour at the Museum Gugging learning about ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. There they participated in a guided workshop to create our own mural with the help of the museum staff. This will help them during an advisory lesson, when they teach their classmates about neurodiversity. Other Grade 7 students interviewed and created portraits of our cleaners, Cafeteria staff, and IT Department to help their fellow students learn names and roles at the school and celebrate our non-teaching employee community.

Grade 8 students enjoyed a robotics workshop at Engineering for Kids, ice skating at the Rathaus as well as a tour of the University of Vienna. Their session at the Engineering for Kids® Austria introduced them to the ideas of robotics and programming in a hands-on way, which will help them in their discussions on how math and science relate to new technology.

These are just some of the many ways the city of Vienna makes up our extended campus, with its many educational and cultural offerings.
