Xylophones for Orangutans

On March 31 and April 1, three Grade 5 students held their annual Orangutan-Xylophone Club and taught their classmates “Heart and Soul” on the xylophone. After mastering the song in three groups, they played the song together as a whole group.
Students were then able to buy some treats from the club’s bake sale before lunch. The club raised over €200 for the Sintang Orangutan Center in Indonesia. As the orangutans do not have all the resources they need to live full lives, this group of students supports them and the environment the orangutans live in.
Our three Grade 5 students would like to thank the AISV community and their advisor for their time and support.
As our students work towards becoming global citizens, we are proud of their dedicated fundraising efforts in support of the Sintang Orangutan Center in Indonesia.
