Thanksgiving Food Drive

Our Elementary School Student Council organized a food drive from November 18 to 26 in partnership with SOS Kinderdorf, an organization dedicated to helping children in need.

Throughout the school year, ES students are learning about the United Nations Rights of the Child, which include the rights to food, a safe home, and care. The ES Student Council wanted to put these values into action by supporting children in our broader community.

Many thanks to our AISV community members for their generous donations, including boxes of dry foods, canned goods, hygiene products, school and craft supplies, small electronics, water bottles, and lunch boxes.

In addition to the food drive, the ES Student Council also encouraged students to make thankful notes for a special teacher or staff member under their slogan “Together we give, together we thank!”, allowing them to give back to those in need and give thanks to the incredible members of our AIS Vienna community.

This is one of the many ways in which we empower each student with the skills and character strengths necessary to be positively impactful global citizens.
