MUN Class Visits US Mission to the UN

Last Tuesday, October 10, the Middle School Model United Nations class had the opportunity to visit the offices of the U.S. Mission to International Organizations to learn about the issues covered by various departments within the U.S. Mission and improve their knowledge of the Foreign Service. They were also introduced to a procedural concept called the “right of reply” and used the real world example of Japan’s release of treated radioactive water from its damaged Fukushima power plant into the Pacific Ocean.

This is just one of the many ways the city of Vienna makes up our extended campus and allows us to create authentic learning experiences.
